Online presence is so important?

Hello friends today I like to share some of my knowledge on online presence with you guys.

1.Is it important to showcase ourself online?

1.Is it important to showcase ourself online?

• My friends,for this question the answer is ofcourse yes.Now you may get questions like how and why?
• I like to explain by taking an example of an employee attending an interview for the job.The H.R who is conducting his/her interview will google his/her(employee) name for sure,and the presence of the person online like on linkedIn,stackoverflow,github,twitter,facebook,google+ etc.
• However the results displayed,tells about your personality,attitude so be careful while setting the privacy in your social sites and ofcourse you must be careful what you are commenting,sharing on your social sites as this displays what kind of person you are.

2.Is it safe?

• Earlier i thought it is not but later on i found that it is important to present ourself to grow our network.
• I suggest that displaying your whole data like your address,number etc is not required,however it is important to show up your name,qualification,achievements,attitude etc.(WIKIHOW how to be safe on internet)
• You can do changes in your privacy settings.
• Ofcourse your data is being accessed by the site owners but it is okay  to get accessed for now with your limited information.
• The adds that are displayed in you site like gmail,social site these adds are on the brands,things that you like,the adds are displayed based on your likes,that's how they access your data,likes for some security measures as well.
• However you can sell your own data by youself online at some sites which are recently started for example: DATACOUP is one such site that helps you sell your data and earn bucks.

3.What will happen if i don't showcase myself online?

•  The answer is negative impression.
• When you attend an interview and the H.R google your name if he did not find any result based on you the it creates a negative image for sure.You may ask how,I have listed some,

1. You don't update yourself with changes happen in world.
2. You dont have knowledge on technology
3. you dont think it is important
4. You may be involved or had any legal charge.
5. Your record is not good.
   
   

• Now some other negative things that may happen are like

1. Some other person in the world may have the same name as you,on searched if his/her name is displayed as result with his/her characters which may be not so good,then there will be negative impression if some misunderstanding happens.
2. Negative impression also occurs if your profile of your sites if not impressing,if you haven't got any good project done etc.

• Also your Profile,About,types of forums,discussions you are involved online displays you a lot.

4.How to create an impression on first look?

• I suggest you to have a personnel website that displays you,your work,so that on browsing the first result displayed is your website about you.
• Have a pesonel blog with involvement.
• Get involved in Github,Stackoverflow like sites
• Update your linkedIn profile with honesty and with impressing skills you have
• Avoid getting involved in groups,discussions which are against any community etc.
• Avoid sharing,commenting uncivilized words,pictures.
